Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to solicit for brand name Haemonetics Cell Saver Elite Blood Recovery System and Cell Saver Elite Carts to be used in the VA Boston Healthcare System Operating Room intended for use in surgeries in which medium to high volume blood loss occurs. The system delivers moderate hematocrit and helps to remove traces of undesirable components, such as free hemoglobin and is a critical tool to avoid unnecessary allogeneic transfusions. The system filters a patient's blood in order for the patient to receive their own blood back after surgery. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, delivery, installation, training and warranty for the specific brand name Cell Saver Elite Blood Recover System and Carts. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsive offeror whose quote for the exact brand name equipment is the lowest priced. The solicitation will be issued as a total small business set aside under NAICS code 336112 with a 500 employee size standard and will be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about 6/1/2015. The FSC/PSC is 6515. Copies of the solicitation will not be available for mailing. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of the contract.
