- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to procure and award on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, a firm fixed price contract with Cordin Scientific Imaging 2230 South 3270 West, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84119, for 1 Cordin High Speed Rotating Mirror Framing Camera System. The results of this Sources Sought will be utilized to determine the interest in this requirement. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 1 June 2015. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. PROGRAM BACKGROUND In order to meet current and future requirements of Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake (NAWCWD), the Detonation Sciences Branch intends to procure one (1) Cordin High Speed Rotating Mirror Framing Camera Model 580-78 system. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES The Government requires a contractor capable of producing 1 Cordin High Speed Rotating Mirror Camera. The Government's requirements are the following: minimum 4 million frames per second, with a minimum 50 frame capacity, while maintaining high pixel resolution of 1,500 horizontal by 2,000 vertical pixels. The minimum speed, number of frames and resolution are necessary in order for the Detonation Science Branch to measure events to the fraction of a microsecond (1/1,000,000th of a second), and millimeters in length. Pacific Standard Time on 1 June 2015 and reference this synopsis number on both the e-mail subject line as well as on all enclosed documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this request WILL NOT be returned. Classified material SHALL NOT be submitted. Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement package of no more than 15 pages in length (no more than ten 8.5 X 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) demonstrating ability to perform those services listed in the Requirements Capability section of this document. Documentation should be in bullet format.
