Solicitation Number: M67861-15-I-0035 Notice Type: Request for Information (RFI) Opens: 2:00 PM CST, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 Closes: 2:00 PM CST, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 Title: RFI for Equal Product to Araxis Description: The Marine Forces Reserve (MFR) is issuing this RFI to ascertain if an equal product to Araxis is currently available and being sold in the commercial marketplace. Salient characteristics for the following brand name Araxis product is attached. The brand name Araxis product is: BASE YEAR ARAXIS MERGE SUPPORT RENEWAL - LICENSE AND MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT - 138 USERS - 12 MONTHS Salient Characteristics: The solution must allow identifying in context every change made between two or three source code hierarchies. •· The solution must support Windows. •· The solution must allow comparing, understanding and combining of different source file version. •· The solution must integrate with the TortoiseSVN client allowing the comparison of current and prior versions of source code from different branches. •· The solution must allow comparisons of different source code branches to provide understanding of every change made to every file for a specific release. •· The solution must allow merging, editing, and deleting of changes between two different source files. •· The solution must allow for conveniently comparing and interactively merging entire folder trees. •· The solution must allow for printing a hard copy of comparisons. •· The solution must provide the ability to generate html, xml, and unix diff reports. •· The solution must provide byte-level comparison for binary files. •· The solution must provide a colour-coded side-by-side comparison to easily pinpoint similarities and difference between files. •· The solution must provide linking lines to indicate at what place in the source files are there differences. •· The solution must allow for configuration changes to ignore difference in whitespace and line endings. Industry Responses/Submissions : At a minimum, responses to this notice should include: (1) Equal product to Araxis Merge and descriptive literature of the equal product. Firms offering equal products shall submit sufficient descriptive literature to permit the contracting agency to assess whether the equal product meets all the salient characteristics specified in the attached. Firms offering "equal" items shall provide a detailed description of the product and product capabilities, product literature/brochures and not merely a reiteration of the salient characteristics provided in the attached. (2) Experience in providing the equal product described in the attachment; (3) A primary point of contact, including phone number and e-mail address; (4) Vendor business size (the applicable NAICS code for the requirement and the size standard for small business). Note: Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of small businesses in consideration of a small business set-aside. (5) Pricing, publicized price lists, where they can be found, and if option pricing authorized (for market research purposes only). (6) If submitting an equal brand name product, specify whether or not currently certified/approved to operate on the NGEN network. If approved, include documentation/proof of certification to operate on NGEN network. INDUSTRY QUESTIONS/SUBMISSIONS: No phone calls will be accepted regarding this notice. NOTES: (1) This RFI is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. (2) Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
