Description: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE NAICS code 334510 The West Palm Beach Veteran Affairs Medical Center has a requirement for a PerioLase MVP-7 Digital TruePulse ND:YAG laser and LANAP protocol system. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc., operating as a small business located in Cerritos CA under the authority per FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a commercial product and the procedures at FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized. The West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center requires the ability to perform the Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) which is only available with the Millennium Dental PerioLase MVP-7 Digital TruePulse Neodymium: Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (Nd:YAG) laser. The PerioLase MVP-7 laser is specifically designed for the LANAP protocol. LANAP is the only FDA approved specific and patented periodontal protocol allowing for periodontal healing with new attachment and/or regeneration. Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc is the manufacturer and sole distributor for this product. They are the patent holder for the required LANAP procedure. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which, if received by June 1, 2015, shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government anticipates awarding one (1) Firm Fixed Price Contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334510 and the small business size standard is 500. The anticipated award date is 06/04/2015.
