Description
Military Sealift Command Ship Support Unit San Diego (MSC SSU SD) is conducting a sources sought in order to identify contractors that are qualified to conduct an analysis on a Low Temperature Fresh Water (LTFW) Heat Exchangers and Cooling System aboard MSC ships. Contractors would be required to peform the following: 1. Perform initial work onboard an MSC Ship in order to (IOT) establish what readings will be necessary and if ship's instrumentation will be sufficient for collection of required data. 2. Provide an initial and final report that documents the analysis, actual operating data, results of the assessment, including recommendations, if required, to the Central Low Temperature Fresh Water Heat Exchangers and/or LTFW Cooling System to maintain engine performance using the data collected. 3. Verify that all data points to be collected are available through the existing engine control system or will identify what additional data needs to be collected and provide support to the port engineer to determine what is required to accurately capture data required to perform analysis. 4. Provide recommendations (if any) for any modifications to ship's crew's understanding of the ship's system sensors and instrumentation required for collection of data. Designated NAICS Code for this work is 541330 "Engineering Services".
