- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure and award on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, a firm fixed price contract with Communications & Power Industries (CPI) 811 Hansen Way B-300 / P.O. Box 50750 M/S B-300 Palo Alto, California 94303-1110, for a Traveling Wave Tube (TWT). The results of this Sources Sought will be utilized to determine the interest in this requirement. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 8 June 2015. This requirement was previously synopsized under N68936-15-R-0070 on 23 April 2015. PROGRAM BACKGROUND AND CAPABILITIES The Government requires a TWT to be designed and built for a specific transmitter that fits into a specific allocated space with specific operational capability as defined by the transmitter specifications.. The TWT is used in the transmitter for the threat simulator and TWT is unique only to the transmitter. The TWT will be required to operate at 150 kilowatts and 25% duty cycle. Please submit all questions to David Channer at david.channer@navy.mil or 760-939-9570 E-mail responses shall be received at this office no later than 12:00 P.M Pacific Standard Time on 8 June 2015 and reference this synopsis number on both the email subject line as well as on all enclosed documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this request WILL NOT be returned. Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement package of no more than 15 pages in length (no more than ten 8.5 X 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) demonstrating ability to perform those services listed in the Requirements Capability section of this document.
