- It is the intention of the Bureau of Reclamation to exercise option year one of contract R14PX00957 for vault restroom cleaning that was awarded as a base contract with four option years on September 11, 2014. The Provo River Restoration Project (PRRP) is a project between Jordanelle and Deer Creek Reservoirs that started in 1999 and completed in 2008. River reconstruction entailed moving the straightened river channel into excavated meanders mimicking historic conditions. These meanders channel water to new wetlands and ponds created to provide wildlife habitats. When the Provo River was reconstructed, seven parking areas including vault restrooms were built along the newly constructed rivers path to allow access for all sorts of outdoor activities. Since these parking areas and vault restrooms are open to the public year round we need to ensure that the vault restrooms are thoroughly cleaned year round as well. There are 11 stalls total at the seven access sites, four of the access sites have double stalls while three of the access sites only have single stalls. These stalls need to be free of dirt, dust, spots, streaks, stains, smudges, litter, debris and other residue. A Government employee designated by the Contracting Officer will be responsible for inspecting the contractors work. The exact days and times of cleaning shall be up to the contract, but shall be spaced evenly throughout the cleaning period. The contractor will need to clean the exterior as well as the interior of the vault restroom at each cleaning. The exterior will need to be cleaned by high pressure washer on a regular basis. The contractor shall ensure the restrooms are stocked with sufficient supplies including clean, dry, double-ply toilet paper in the dispensers after the interior of the restroom has been cleaned. The toilet paper dispenser will need to be locked after being refilled. The contractor will need to stock the restrooms with enough supplies to ensure they will last until the next scheduled service. This contract is for a base year plus four option years for a total of $91,762.00.
