Description
G15PS00417 Questions and Answers From Interested Sellers. 1. In reference to solicitation G15PS00417, we perform the requested methods SW846 8260C for Volatile Organics and also 8270D for Semi-Volatile Organics. There is a reference to isotopic standards mentioned in the SOW which could mean that you are looking for isotopic methods 1624 and 1625. Can we submit a proposal with SW846 8260 and 8270 using (non-isotopic) standards listed in the SW846 methods? Answer. Proposals using either isotopic or non-isotopic standards for volatile and semi-volatile organic analysis will be considered. 2. Do USGS team on the RFQ has any clear list of "Target Compounds" for each target class mentioned on page 6? Answer. Tier 2 work is intended to identify target compounds that will be quantified in Tier 3 work. There is no fixed list. See list of target classes provided in the scope of work which includes target compounds for quantification. 3. What is the reporting results (is it dry weight or wet weight basis) Answer. Under heading "Tier 3 work" it is specified that results should be reported as ug/kg in dry weight. 4. What is the amount of sample shipment expected from field? Answer. Sample mass sent to the laboratory for analysis will be arranged upon award based upon laboratory needs to meet specified project requirements. 5. How long is the holding time for samples, extract and reports before disposal? Answer. Sample holding times prior to analysis and/or extraction should be performance based. Information provided in the response to this RFQ should include information about holding times for the proposed analytical methods employed. Samples, extracts and reports shall be held until 12/31/2016. Upon completion of contracted work, the USGS may request these item be transferred to one or more of our facilities. If so, USGS will be responsible for shipping costs. 6. How many samples will come in each shipment? Answer. Sample batch sizes will be variable based upon the nature of the project. We estimate that a typical shipment will contain 25-50 samples. 7. Do USGS team suggest any specific method for the classes of compounds mentioned? Answer. No specific methods are suggested. This was done purposely to allow laboratories to apply innovative approaches and use a variety of analytical platforms to compete. Methods employed must meet the appropriate project requirements and specifications listed in the statement of work. 8. Do USGS provide the Target standards, Reference Standards, isotope spike reference standards? Answer. No. 9. Are there any amendments for this RFQ ? Answer. 0001
