Description
The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a firm fixed priced purchase order to Mayo Clinic located at 200 First St Rochester, MN 55905 on an other than full and open competitive basis. The work will include development and testing novel techniques for assessing traumatic brain injury, based on Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE). The anticipated period of performance is 9 months. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 USC 254 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. Vendors who feel capable of providing the services stated above shall fully identify their interests and submit written data or other verifiable documentation that demonstrates conclusively the capabilities of their proposed services to meet the stated requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received seven days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The Government will notify parties of the outcome of any proposal submitted in response. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
