Description
Sole Source FBO Notice for Procurement Request 00HCCA16-2015-84781 Title: Roof Coping - Fabricate and Install, Morgantown, West Virginia NIOSH Building L The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Office of Administration and Management Service (OAMS) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Air Systems Sheet Metal Company, 111 12th Street, W., Huntington, WV 25704-1641 to fabricate and install roof coping on the Morgantown, WV NIOSH Building L. Clin 1: Quantity of (1) - Aluminum coping 800LF Clin 2 Installation STATEMENT OF WORK ROOF COPING - FABRICATE AND INSTALL MORGANTOWN NIOSH BUILDING L SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall completely provide all material, labor, tools and equipment needed to complete the following scope of work. Work will be completed at the Morgantown, West Virginia, NIOSH campus building L roof area. The project consists of the fabrication and installation of approx. 800 lf. of white aluminum custom fabricated coping along the top pre-cast parapet wall roof area of building L. This coping will connect to existing coping currently in place and must be fabricated to connect, match and be installed the same as existing. The contractor will need to custom fabricate 0.60 gauge white Aluminum coping to match and connect to the existing. The approx. dimensions are as follows: 18 inch across the top of the parapet turning at a 90 deg over the front side of the parapet, continuing 4 inches with a 1 inch 30 deg turn out the coping will turn down approx... 90 deg on the back side of the parapet and continue 1 inch. The contractor will verify all dimensions with the existing coping that is currently installed. The contractor will provide installation of approx. 800 Lf. of fabricated coping including labor, all fasteners, rubber insulating strips and custom fabricated starter strips to match current installation of existing coping. The new coping will work around the current lightning protection system in place on the parapet and will not require the removal of the lightning protection system. The government will provide parking, restrooms, elevator access and utilities needed to install the new coping. Warranty: The contractor will provide 1 one year labor warranty on installation. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: HSPD-12. To perform the work specified herein, contractor personnel will require access to sensitive data, regular access to HHS-controlled facilities and/or access to HHS information systems. The Government has determined the position sensitivity under this effort to be NON-sensitive. The minimum Government investigation for a non-sensitive position is a National Agency Check and Inquiries (with fingerprinting), which consists of searches of records covering specific areas of a person's background during the past five years. Those inquiries are sent to current and past employers, schools attended, references, and local law enforcement authorities. This contract action is for a product for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
