Description
NEGOTIATED ACQUISITION FAR PART 15 - PRESOLICITATION SOLE SOURCE THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT ONLY - The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Duke University, 2200 W. Main Street, Ste. 710, Durham, NC 27708-4677 for professional activities such as conducting evidence based reviews, producing medical summaries, and providing other medical analytical services related to newborn and child genetic/medical conditions in support of the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children. A Justification & Approval (J&A) is on file and will be posted 14 days after contract award. Sole source determination is based on only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Duke University demonstrates a unique capability to provide evidence based reviews and related activities concerning newborn and child genetic and medical conditions to inform the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children. Additionally, Duke University demonstrates the unique capability to expertly advise the Committee's decision making process when considering genetic and medical conditions for the Recommended Uniform Screening Panel. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541720, and the size standard is $20.5 million. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
