- Provisions/Clauses The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to negotiate the award of a fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with Perceptics, LLC for the acquisition of maintenance and warranty service to LPR equipment located in Falfurrias, TX and Laredo, TX for the period of June 19, 2015 - June 18, 2016. Services Required: The government requires extended warranty service of existing LPR equipment. The contractor shall provide maintenance and technical support on the LPR's that are deployed in Texas along the Southwest border and ensure systems are kept operational and running 24x7. The contractor shall provided extended warranty services covering the LPR equipment to include: Replacement of defective hardware when it fails, Software updates once a month or sooner if needed, Recommended updates included in fixed price, On-line telephone technical support provided as needed, Operational, maintenance, and technical support to ensure the uninterrupted day-to-day functions and preservation of the LPR systems, Training to select DEA employees on the operational, maintenance, and technical issues concerning the LPR systems. The NAICS code is 541519; the size standard is $27.5 million and the requirement is a total small business set-aside. The attached provisions and clauses are applicable to this requirement. In accordance with FAR 5.207 (c)(16)(ii), vendors that understand and can meet the Government’s requirements detailed above and in the attachment may submit a written response with sufficient relevant details to demonstrate existing capabilities. This submission shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (c) the justification is attached with this notice. The acquisition will be conducted through FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to claire.w.rotruck@usdoj.gov and dimario.johnson@usdoj.gov no later than June 10, 2015 at 11:00am EST.
