- The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD awarded a cost plus fixed-fee BOA order on a sole-source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) of Rancho Bernardo, CA for the integration of the PMS-495 developed Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Block I-3 Mine Countermeasures (MCM) system into the MQ-8B Air Vehicle and Fire Scout System, along with upgrading the MQ-8B AV networking to enable Domain Name Service (DNS) Internet Protocol communications. Northrop Grumman is required to upgrade the MQ-8B AV networking to enable DNS compatibility and enable the use of an MQ-8B/MQ-8C common software build. The Government procured the above under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1.
