- This is a draft SOW and is subject to change. This is neither a request for formal Request for Proposals (RFP) nor for quotes. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of materials in response to this request. There is no solicitation available at this time. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NRL shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought notice or NRL's use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Center for Corrosion Science and Engineering (CCSE), is searching for potential sources that are capable of meeting a requirement with regard to multi-disciplinary support of basic experimentation and marine engineered systems related to corrosion science. The scope of the effort will be to conduct scientific, engineering, technical, and analytical Research and Development (R&D) for a wide range of NRL research projects supporting the Navy's corrosion mitigation, coatings, environmental and prevention programs in the following areas: Environmental Effects on Navy Material; Marine Coatings Technology; Technology Transfer, Field Demonstration and Engineering. In order to aid industry in evaluating their ability to perform the requirement, the following document has been attached and is provided herein this RFI: 1. Draft Statement of Work (SOW) - Corrosion Science and Engineering RDT&E Services, which is subject to changing. CONTRACTOR RESPONSE FORMAT The NRL asks that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: Contact Information a) Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) b)Telephone Number, Fax Number, Address and e-mail address of POC c) Business Size and number of employees d) Suggested NAICS code for this effort Technical Information a) List of capabilities/resources relevant to the required tasks b) A list of job titles and qualifications the contractor suggests for this effort. Pricing and Schedule Information NRL is requesting interested contractors to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate of costs. Assumptions Please provide a list of assumptions, if any, which were considered in formulating the response.
