- Synopsis Modified 6/5/2015 - The Solicitation (Plans & Specs) Number W912BU-15-B-0005 was issued on 5 June 2015 with a bid opening date of 7 July 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Contract work consists of dredging beachfill from a near shore borrow area and placing it along approximately 6,375 linear feet of shoreline to create a dune with a 40 foot wide crest and beach berm approximately 220 feet wide on the seaward side and 70 feet wide on the landward side. The work also includes installing about 11,885 linear feet of sand fence, planting dune grasses across the surface of the dune and incidental related work. The work shall be located at the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge's Management Unit II, generally between Prime Hook Beach Road and Fowler Beach Road. Solicitation Number W912BU-15-B-0005 will be issued on or about 6 May 2015 with a bid opening date of 5 June 2015. Estimated cost range of the project is $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00 with a project completion date in May 2016. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 (SIC 1629) with a size standard of $27.5 million. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Plans and specifications should be downloaded via FBO Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $100,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 1-703-461-2460 or by accessing the following Internet website: http://vets100.com. All contractors must be registered in the DODs System for Award Management (SAM) database as required by DFARS 204.7300. Davis Bacon rates will be applicable to the construction and bonding is required. Please review all bonds and accompanying documents required to be submitted.
