Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22 intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-3. The proposed sole source is for physiological data integration methodology with Qualcomm Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology, the UC San Diego Division of Calit2. There is no other known source that provides the type of physiological data integration methodology to be used for ongoing research project entitled "Improving the Frequency and Quality of Sleep Apnea Care Management (IIR 12-069)" at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (La Jolla, CA). A firm-fixed price contract with two option periods is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within a reasonable time period after the publishing of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be e-mailed to Ryoko.Foran@va.gov no later than 9:00 am Pacific Standard Time, on 12 June 2015. Only proposals received by this date will be considered.
