Description

Basis for cancellation Significant errors were discovered in the Government's requirement and related evaluation documents changing how the scope of an awarded contract would be defined. An amendment to the solicitation would have required broad changes to the solicitation and how it was advertised. As such, the Contracting Officer has made the determination this solicitation should be cancelled under the authority outlined at FAR 15.206(e), which states: 15.206 - Amending the Solicitation (e) If, in the judgment of the contracting officer, based on market research or otherwise, an amendment proposed for issuance after offers have been received is so substantial as to exceed what prospective offerors reasonably could have anticipated, so that additional sources likely would have submitted offers had the substance of the amendment been known to them, the contracting officer shall cancel the original solicitation and issue a new one, regardless of the stage of the acquisition. New Solicitation It is anticipated a new solicitation for this project will be advertised under a different solicitation number during FY15 at a date and time unknown at time of this posted cancellation notice.
