Description
*** Solicitation Amendment #1 has been issued to revise the EVALUATION Criteria #4 as follows: Building Information Modeling Specialist with minimum of three (3) years of experience working with large complex construction projects involving multiple construction disciplines with a typical project length of 18 or more months. The contractor ™s project staff shall include a BIM specialist with experience in Autodesk Revit 2012 and Autodesk Navisworks 2012 or equivalent. This individual must have experience aggregating 3d BIM submittals and performing interference analysis. The BIM specialist should be able to link the BIM to project scheduling software and produce 3d visual construction progress and look-ahead reports. Coordinating Engineer shall be a full-time person and part of the contractor ™s project staff (from Notice to Proceed through Substantial Completion) having the responsibility of coordinating all work between trades. This individual shall submit evidence of previous experience in coordinating these areas of work on projects of similar scale and complexity. Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following: a)Facilitating coordination meetings between architectural/interior design, furniture/fixtures/equipment, structural, mechanical, electrical/telecommunications, and fire protection sub-contractors. b)Facilitating and reviewing coordinated BIM submittals and all subsequent revisions as required. c)Reviewing all trades shop drawings following the approval of the coordinated BIM submittals. d)Directing adjustments in the Work that shall be required to comply with the Contract Documents. ***The SIR has been revised to correct the subcontract percentage from 25% to the appropriate 15%.*** The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Services Area, intends to prequalify contractors interested in receiving a Request for Offer (RFO) for work associated the construction of the new Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Facility at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, in Charlotte, NC. Please see the Scope of Work as described in the attached Screening Information Request (SIR). The successful offeror must be able to complete a minimum 15% of the work using its own resources. The FAA will be pre-qualifying two (2) - six (6) of the most qualified Prime or General Contractors only. Contractors who prequalify will be eligible to receive a Request for Offer (RFO). All submittals must be received no later than 2:00PM EDT on July 17, 2015. Submittals received after this date will not be considered. Instructions on how to submit are listed in the attached SIR document. On the envelope mark for: SIR No. DTFANE-15-R-1009A, CLT ATCT.
