Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested in response to the written solicitation included in this posting. Solicitation number VA263-15-R-0572 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621111 "Offices of Physicians (Except Mental Health Specialists) with a small business size standard of $11.0 million. To be considered for award of a Government contract, the offeror must be currently registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Offerors are encouraged to go to the SAM database www.sam.gov and start the registration process as soon as possible to avoid possible delays should the contractor be selected as a prospective awardee. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 is soliciting proposals for a part-time board certified orthopedic surgeon to provide services as the Associate Chief, Orthopedic Surgery. The anticipated period of performance will be from August 01, 2015 through January 31, 2016 for the base period, with one (1), six-month option renewal period. Option periods are exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. The date for receipt of offers in no later than June 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.
