Introduction: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineering District (JED) is performing market research for a Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) construction project titled: quote mark FY16 NAVY MILCON P-604 Security Modifications to MC159-T (CVW-5/MAG12 Headquarters), MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. quote mark This announcement represents a market survey that is intended for preliminary planning purposes only. This purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of performing this project and to receive responses from those firms to assist the Government's acquisition planning. This survey does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award. This is NOT a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. Information about the project: Project Title: FY16 NAVY MILCON P-604 Security Modifications to MC159-T (CVW-5/MAG12 Headquarters), MCAS Iwakuni, Japan Project Location: MCAS Iwakuni, located in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan Project NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Project Magnitude: Between 2,500,000 and 10,000,000 Japanese YEN based on an exchange rate of 1 U.S. Dollar to 100 Japanese Yen. Project Description: The purpose of this project is to perform finish work in interior facility space, in accordance with Intelligence Community (IC) guidance, for the CVW-5/MAG12 command with the Host Nation constructed Headquarters Facility. The facility room is approximately 600 SF. Facility finish work will be performed by U.S. Citizens in accordance with IC guidance. Work includes construction of all electrical, communications and mechanical systems internal to the secured area. Installation of surface mounted conduit/plumbing with nonconductive couplings, wiring, plumbing and fixtures, floor covering, acoustical ceiling, interior walls, doors and hardware. Finish work also includes installation of floor covering, acoustical ceiling, and interior walls, doors and door hardware. ===================================================================== Submission Requirements for responses to this Market Survey: Interested firms are requested to reply with the following information to assist the government in developing an acquisition strategy. 1. Describe your firm's capability and experience in constructing secure sensitive compartmented information facilities for US Embassies and/or other secure facilities for the Department of State and Department of Defense in the last 10-years. 2. Describe your firm's security qualifications and safeguarding capability. 3. Provide a list of relevant or similar projects, including project title, location, completion date, and magnitude. 4.
