The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USMRAA) on behalf of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) is conducting market research to identify any sources with the capability of providing various items manufactured by Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas, Inc. that represent an upgrade to BX53 & MVX10 microscope systems which the government already owns. USAMRICD is currently utilizing one BX53 microscope and two MVX10 microscopes (manufactured by Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas, Inc.). At this time, USAMRICD is seeking to purchase components for an upgrade package to include the following items: Fluorescence Illuminator (Part Number: 5-UR740A) Control Box for BX3 Semi-Motorized (Part Number: U-B310) DP80 Camera (Part Number: 7-DP80-CSD13) MS-2000 XYZ Automated Stage (Part Number: OAS-MS2000-BX51) Two Axis DC Servo Motor XY Stage Controller (Part Number: OAS-CONTR2) Flash 4 sCMOS camera (Part Number: OH-FLASH4.0U) As the Government is seeking to upgradE existing microscope systems, compatibility with these existing systems is a requirement for any upgrade. This SSN/RFI is open to both large and small businesses. The Government is seeking to identify qualified sources under NAICS code 333314 (size standard: 500 employees). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. No hard copy responses or telephonic questions will be accepted.
