- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for determining whether to set-aside the requirement for small businesses. The work includes, but is not limited to, Rental and Operations of Oil Filtration Systems for Diego Garcia Naval Station. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, material, parts, equipment, technical support and other items necessary to clean-up500 gallons of contaminated fuel oil (#2 Diesel, JP,5,ect.) 500 gallons of used engine oil (10W30, 15W40, etc.) and 500 gallons of a mixture of fuel oil and engine oil. The Contractor shall deliver and set up 30 GPM fuel oil filtration and coalesce system consisting of the following: 30 GPM (Variable Flow) 2-stage 840X Filter Skid; Accepts one 10-Micron Nominally rated Pre-Filter. Followed by one high efficiency 5-Micron Pleated Microglass Filter Element rated Beta>1000. Fuel Coalescer Housing Assembly; Accepts three Coalescer Elements and One Separator Element. The contractor shall provide a 5-10 GPM Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purification System consisting of the following: 5-10 GPM Vacuum Dehydrator, accepts one 10-Micron Nominally Rated Pre-Filter followed by one high efficiency 12-Micron Plated Microglass filter element rated Beta>1000. Multi-bag filters housing on suction side; accepts three 100-micron polyester felt bag filter. Electric supply 480V, 3-Phase 60Hz. The rental period is estimated to commence in July 2015. The contract term will be approximately six (6) months. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333249 and the annual size standard is 500employees. Interested sources capable of providing the required services must respond by e-mail to gloria.quintero@navy.mil no later than 16 June 2015. Interested sources shall indicate that they are capable of providing the required services and must indicate their size status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB)). Submit a brief capabilities statement consisting of no more than five (5) pages that demonstrates the ability to provide the requested services. Include experience, contract, type of equipment, magnitude of the project. No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on responses to this notice. This Sources Sought Synopsis is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ); it is a tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an RFQ.
