- The Research & Development Service, South Texas Veterans Health Care System/Audie L. Murphy Division (STVHCS/ALMD) in San Antonio, TX has a requirement to purchase preventive maintenance coverage on Illumina Genomics core lab instruments, located at this facility. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (size standard of$20.5M). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFQ with Illumina Inc. Services will adhere to the following specifications: General: Provide 12 month renewal of service agreement for preventive maintenance coverage on the Illumina Genomics core lab instruments as listed on transaction 671-15-3-236-0529 located at the STVHCS/ALMD, Research Service during the estimate period of performance of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, plus three option periods. Description of Work: Contractor will provide full coverage for all service parts and labor. Includes comprehensive 5 days x 24 hour email support and 5 days x 18 hour telephone support (instrument, applications, bioinformatics) US Pacific Time Zone; 5 business day average on-site response time, critical and non-critical hardware and software updates, applications support, access to on-line training modules, and discounts on optional advanced training programs. Qualifications: Vendor must have the ability to provide preventive maintenance on Illumina equipment, as an authorized service provider. Hours of Performance: All work will be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, excluding weekends and holidays. Specific Tasks: Vendor will troubleshoot and provide preventive maintenance on the Illumina instruments identified in the below and in the solicitation. 1. Autoloader 2. cBot 3. HiSeq2000 7 4. iScan N0243 This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, June 19, 2015, 4:00PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov and should include company name, address, point of contact, business size, and product information. No telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is to assist the Government in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
