- This notice of intent is not a request for quotes and no solicitation is available. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL intends to award a sole source contract to Ithaka Harbors, Inc.151 E. 61 st Street, NY 10065 for the purchase of five (5) subscriptions to the JSTOR Arts and Sciences Collections for the Air University Library. Those subscriptions are JSTOR's Arts and Sciences Collections I, II, IV, VI, and IX. JSTOR's Arts and Sciences Collection subscriptions are unique in that JSTOR Online Databases provide an essential research capability in support of the Professional Military Education (PME) research needs of Air University students, both resident and distance learners. This is sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a firm-fixed price contract for base year and four (4) one-year options. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified services, they must respond to this notice before 6/24/2015 at 4:00pm Central Standard Time (CST). If no responses are received by the above referenced date/time a sole source contract will be awarded to the Ithaka Harbors, Inc. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds.
