Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Belfort Instrument Company for five (5) ASOS Visibility Sensor Electronic Enclosure Assemblies for the NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) located in Silver Spring, MD. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on May 14, 2015 and closed on May 21, 2015. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source The ASOS Visibility Sensor being purchased are manufactured solely by Belfort Instrument Company located in Lynnwood, CA and is the only source of this part and based on the proprietary design by Belfort Instrument Company.
