- The work for this project consists of removing existing air cooled chiller of building 3501, an 18,500SF facility and replace with a new air cooled chiller. Modify existing chilled water piping from a constant flow primary system to a constant flow primary/variable flow secondary system. Remove and replace the existing non-condensing natural draft boiler with a new high efficiency condensing unit. Remove and replace the existing pneumatically controlled VAV's with new electronic controlled DDC units. Replace the existing HVAC pneumatic control system with a new electronic DDC system. Replace ceiling as necessary and reuse ductwork except as directed. This acquisition will be awarded to a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business Concern, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible HUBZone sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220. The size standard is $15 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.fbo.gov on/or around 26 June 15 with a tentative closing date of 27 July 15. The contract performance period will be 245 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. SAM Registration may be accomplished online at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in SAM/CCR Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in SAM in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov. All interested parties are responsible for checking this website to ensure they have the most current information (i.e., issued Amendments, Changes to the Statement of Work, etc).
