Description

This is an extension/amendment of a presolicitation notice only. A sources sought notice has already been issued under VA25615N0244. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) current homeless transition contract (up to 13 beds) in Pensacola, FL is nearing expiration. The VA is seeking offerors that have experience and proven record of successfully working with residents recovering from co-morbid conditions such as serious mental illnesses, substance abuse disorders, and other serious medical conditions. The offeror shall be able to assist with the provision of residential placement and supportive services through the Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program. The primary goal is to develop alternative housing for the Veterans and to prepare them for independent living. This will be for both male and female veterans. It is the ultimate goal that these Veterans will eventually find their way to housing located within the community within 6 months. To this end; the contractor must demonstrate ongoing capacity and resources to work with this population within a community setting. The NAICS for this is 623220, Residential Mental Health and Substance Abuse Facilities (size standard of $15.0 million). Seeking existing facilities only in one of the following areas: City of Pensacola, FL Escambia County, FL No formal solicitation document exists at this time; however, the solicitation shall be released and posted to www.fbo.gov sometime on or around 24 March 2015 as full and open has now been extended to 16 June 2015. Questions will be accepted after the formal solicitation is posted. If more information is needed, email Melanie.Grigsby@va.gov with the presolicitation number "VA256-15-R-0461" in the subject line. Simply checking interested parties on the www.fbo.gov website doesn't demonstrate capabilities and will not be acceptable. Proposals will then be due 08 July 2015. A firm fixed requirements order for a base and two option periods is contemplated from solicitation. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with System Award Management (www.sam.gov ) formerly Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
