Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16), Houston, TX, intends to issue solicitation no. VA256-15-R-0346. This solicitation will be posted and available for download on or about June 29, 2015 from www.fbo.gov. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. All inquiries should be directed in writing to stephanie.keo@va.gov. All bidders interested in this solicitation are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov) for the actual posting of the solicitation package. The appropriate NAICS Code 622110 (General Medical and Surgical Hospitals) and the small business size standard $38.5M.. The Government intends to award firm-fixed price Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions and specifications of the solicitation. The term of the contract is for base period with four (4) one year options. The scope of this procurement is to provide Long Term Acute (LTAC) services for patients with complex needs and possible comorbid conditions requiring mechanical ventilation bed support in an acute hospital setting. The contracted facility should provide effective ventilation bed and tracheostomy weaning services for veterans recently transferred from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030 intensive care unit(s) directly to the LTAC with the intent to achieve liberation from mechanical ventilator through ventilator weaning in all cases possible within the average and reasonable time frame. The Government intends to award firm-fixed price Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions and specifications of the solicitation. The term of the contract is for one year with four (4) one year options. NAICS code is 621610 - Home Health Care Services with size standard of $14 million. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about May 22. 2015. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. Proposals will be due on or about June 30, 2015. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
