- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/Request for Information (RFI). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation part 10.002(iii) the U.S. Coast Guard is conducting market research to identify commercially available market sources capable of repairing Attitude Indicators and Bearing Distance Indicators in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer, Rockwell Collins Inc., Component Maintenance Manual. The Coast Guard does not possess and cannot provide the Component Maintenance Manual. Vendors are requested to read the RFI in its entirety to ensure information submittals are complete. Specific components are listed below. Nomenclature NSN P/N Attitude Indicator 6610-01-HS1-2433 622-4423-001-NVG Bearing Distance Indicator 5826-01-HS1-2471 622-3702-016-NVG Responses should include the following: a) name and address of contractor; b) Cage Code, c) point of contact including name, title, phone, and email address; d) descriptive literature, brochures, price ranges and should include if the repair services is of a type customarily available in the commercial marketplace or provided exclusively for governmental purposes; e) state whether the business is currently classified as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone Small Business, Women Owned, Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business in terms of the NAICS code 488190, f) GSA Contract information if applicable and other information that provides the Coast Guard with a more accurate picture of the potential marketplace for this requirement. The NAICS code is 488190 and the small business size standard is 32.5M average annual receipts. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses should be submitted to Thomas.F.Mason@uscg.mil. Responses must be received no later than 06/23/15 4:00 PM EST. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as one. Therefore, there will be no evaluation of responses to this RFI for award purposes. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resulting future solicitation where quotes or proposals will be requested. There is no date set for a resulting solicitation or if a solicitation will be issued. All submitted materials will be designated for Government Use Only. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow up information requests.
