- W91ZLK-15-T-0124 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION FOR AN EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN FOR A COSMED BOD POD TO SUPPORT OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT WITHIN ARMY WELLNESS CENTERS (AWC). This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following product and service: The USA Public Health Command (PHC) has a requirement to provide annual maintenance and calibration services to COSMED BOD POD Gold Standard Extended Service Plan to support operation of equipment within the standard Army Wellness Centers (AWC). Services will provide repair and calibration of Precision Filters 28000-services signal conditioning systems, including system subcomponents. Hardware is to be repaired on an quote mark as needed quote mark basis The BOD POD is a patented measurement device designed to measure the ratio of fat mass to fat free mass using air displacement plethysmography. BOD POD distinctive features include: Testing measurements, mobility, versatility and multiple, unique and validated data collection modalities, software and data management options. The BOD POD has patented technology that is proprietary and unique to the product device. The proprietary design limits the maintenance services to COSMED USA BOD POD qualified distributors and technicians. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is COSMED USA, Inc., 1850 Bates Avenue, Concord, CA 94520-1240. Contractor shall notify government of required upgrades as repair become difficult or parts unavailable. Contractor shall provide software upgrade, on-line technical support, and telephone assistance to resolve technical problems. Contractor shall provide unlimited number of on-site and off-site service visits within five (5) business days of hours of phoned, email or web-based request. The intended period of performance is one year from the date of award. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to COSMED USA, Inc. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within ten businesses (10) calendar days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM, June 21, 2015 Eastern Time (ET).
