- Description
- AMENDMENT A002: The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions: (1) Are iron pole and yoke part of 200 kg? Mass limit applies to the entirety of the magnet system, including iron pole and yoke, and any cooling mechanism for the magnet, which shall be included in the total cost of the system. It does not apply to the sample cryostat, which we are not asking for in this solicitation. (2)Should the close cycle refrigerator for magnet be included in the system quotationIs the weight of cryocooler for magnet, included in 200 kg? Mass limit applies to the entirety of the magnet system, including mass of the magnet cryocooler. (3) There is no heat leak and dimension specification for magnet cryocooler, such cryocooler appears not part of cost or delivery? Cryocooler is part of the magnet system. With regard to dimensions, see MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1.A.b-d. In this section "magnet" is meant to mean the entirety of the magnet system, including magnet cryostat. Our own sample cryostat (which is not part of this solicitation) is not to be considered in these dimensions. (4) Cryocooler for superconducting magnet is not specified, and the crycoolers for sample is not specified either. Please specify coolers and and whether magnet coolers is part of deliverables. A separate cooling system is in place for samples, and does not factor into the mass limit. The magnet cryocooler is not to be combined with the sample cryocooler, meaning combined heat load is not a consideration. Cooling is a of magnet coils is a deliverable (see section MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1.A.l). Pulse tube coolers are necessary. All other terms remain unchanged.
