- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD in support of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA), intends to issue a brand name, firm-fixed priced synopsis/solicitation, W81XWH-15-T-0138, for item specific MinXray spare parts. The authority for the brand name justification and other than full and open competition procedures will be FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 339112. Persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This Notice of Intent to purchase Brand Name MinXray parts is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the Government will consider all responses received. After the publication of this announcement, solicitation W81XWH-15-T-0138 will be posted for three days on or about 15 June 2015. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a subsequent competitive procurement.
