Description
The Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS (AFRG) is seeking a contractor to implement Biomedical Engineering/Maintenance and Repair Program. The objective of the program is to reduce medical and dental equipment maintenance expenditures at a fixed budget. This program shall provide a comprehensive preventative maintenance management services program that combines the cost control protection of service contracts with administrative and technical expertise. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, materials, supervision, transportation and services necessary to effectively, economically, and satisfactorily perform all operations, for preventive and corrective maintenance. Service events shall include all preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency maintenance activities necessary to keep medical equipment in good working order. The contractor shall provide an integrated equipment maintenance management program to include, but not limited to, management services; repairs analysis and invoice validation; payment processing, including cost overrun protection; technical assistance; statistical repair information; and program training, at the AFRG. This requirement has been in the 8(a) program and the incumbent contractor has retired from the 8(a) program. We are seeking information on potential 8(a) vendors who can fulfill these requirements. This announcement is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This Request for Information (RFI) is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responses to the RFI will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Qualified contractors must provide the following: 1. The name and location of your company, contact information, and identify your business size (Large Business, Small Business, Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, HubZone, etc.) based on NAICS Code 811219, size standard $20.5m. Please ensure contact information includes the name of the point of contact, email address, and telephone number should the Government have questions regarding individual responses. 2. Whether your services are available through a Government contract vehicle or Open Market. 3. A brief capabilities statement (not to exceed 5 pages) that includes a description of your company's standard line of business, as well as a list of customers your company currently provides these products/services for. 4. Contractors should provide their DUNS, if applicable. The following file extensions are not allowable and application materials/data submitted with these extensions cannot be considered:.bat,.cmd,.com,.exe,.pif,.rar,.scr,.vbs,.hta,.cpl, and.zip files. Microsoft Office compatible documents and.pdf files are acceptable. No other information regarding this Request for Information (RFI) will be provided at this time. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. A request for more information, or a copy of the solicitation, will not be considered an affirmative response to this RFI. Telephone responses to, or inquiries about, this RFI will NOT be accepted. Responses to this RFI must be submitted no later than 2:00p.m. ET on June 19, 2015. Responses must be submitted electronically to Purchasing@fiscal.treasury.gov, with the subject line "RFI-AFRG-15-0058, Attn: MG/JS".
