Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals (RFP) or request for quotes (RFQ) and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their SBA size classification in relation to NAICS 611710. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall be in writing and include the following: a)Company name b)Address c)Point of contact d)Phone, fax, and email e)DUNS number f)Cage Code g)Tax ID Number h)Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business i)Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below and attached statement of work j)Provide any educational degrees, certifications, licenses and /or other pertinent documents/evidence that is required to perform the requested services. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published to www.FBO.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offeror(s) will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is seeking a source to provide services in support of the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) VA Geriatric Scholars Program. The VA Geriatric Scholars Program is a national VA workforce development project designed to integrate state-of-the-art practices in geriatric medicine in primary care settings throughout the VA. This nationwide VA program is collectively managed by all Geriatrics Research, Education, and Clinical Centers (GRECC) throughout the nation. The specific requirement is for the GRECC program office located at the VAGLAHS, 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073. The VAGLAHS GRECC is seeking a contractor's services to perform 10 specific tasks derived from the following four (4) key areas: 1.Quality Improvement (QI) 2.Educational Product Dissemination 3.Communications Evaluation 4.Scholar Tracking (Database) The following is a synopsis of the services required for each of four (4) key areas. A draft statement of work (SOW) has been attached to this sources sought for informational purpose and review: 1.Evaluate, recommend and test curriculum and performance management strategies consistent with Academy for Health Care Improvement for the VA Geriatric Scholars Quality Improvement Group Coaching Track. 2.Evaluate accuracy, relevance and currency of VA Geriatric Scholars Program enduring education materials for retention or retirement; Develop, implement and test dissemination of new continuing medical education enduring materials to VA clinicians. 3.Develop and test communications plan to engage VA clinicians in continuous professional development activities and improve coordination between VA Geriatric Scholars Program components. 4.Identify, test, and create appropriate database to track VA Geriatric Scholars Program component functions and develop programming algorithms to facilitate prompt responses to quarterly and occasional VACO reporting requests. After reviewing the SOW and believe that your firm can provide the requested services, please submit the information as outlined in the first paragraph. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to the attention of Tue M. Tran at tue.tran@va.gov and with the following information in the subject line of the email: "VA262-15-N-0245 - VA Geriatric Scholars Program". Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than June 15, 2015, 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
