Description

The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Biosense Webster, Diamond Bar, CA for Smartouch Catheters. The NAICS for this procurement is 339112. The contractor shall deliver products to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 West 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46202. This notice is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 3:30pm EST on 06/16/2015. The Richard L. Roudebush VAMC in Indianapolis, IN is in need of Biosense Webster's Soft Touch Catheters. The Soft Touch Catheters are used in Cardiac Ablation procedures. These Soft Touch catheters enable the measurement of catheter tip contact force and direction inside the patient's heart. Additionally, the Soft Touch catheters provide parameters for the mapping and ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias. Biosense Webster, Inc. 3333 Diamond Canyon Road, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, 1-800-729-9010 is the only vendor who can provide these catheters. Biosense Webster, Inc. is the only qualified source for Soft Touch Catheters. These catheters are specifically design to work with the Soft Touch System. The Soft Touch System is currently in used at the VAMC in Indianapolis. They are proprietary to the instrument. Biosense Webster, Inc. is the sole manufacture of the Soft Touch system and the Soft touch catheters. The Soft Touch system and the Soft touch catheters are proprietary equipment only available through Biosense Webster, Inc. No other vendor can provide these specific Catheters.
