- Sole source letter THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award a sole source commercial contract to Eaton Corporation (formerly:"Eaton Electrical Inc." and "Powerware") for preventative maintenance of Eaton POWERWARE 9315-80. The UPS units are used to support Bldg 1805. This will be a base year plus four options firm fixed price full service contract that will require the Contractor to provide a total solution plan from a single source that includes all management, labor, travel, shipping, test equipment, tools, all parts, filter replacement, software diagnostics, firmware upgrades, product modifications, field advisories, field modifications, printed circuit board revisions, spare parts upgrades, and other related cost necessary to maintain, repair and keep the Eaton POWERWARE 9315-80 units performing to designed technical performance specifications. The The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The size standard is $20,500,000.00. The 14 th Contracting Squadron, Columbus AFB, MS, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award directly with Eaton Corporation, using procedures pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Please see attached justification. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposal nor a solicitation of offers. However, if any interested party believes they are capable of meeting the requirement specified above, said party is encouraged to submit a capabilities statement. The statement must be submitted in writing (e-mail) and must contain enough information (illustrations, attachments, etc.) for the Government to make a determination that the submitting party is capable of meeting the Government's need. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
