- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCES MODIFICATION The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Non-Management and Operating Contracting Operations Division, intends to issue a modification to extend contract DE-AC52-10NA29739 for three months on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, 41 USC 3304(a)(1), to Synergy Solutions, Inc. (SSI), 101 Donner Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, to continue personnel security and facility clearance programs support services. SSI is the only company capable of providing personnel security and facility clearance support services in the time frame required. The NNSA is in the process of evaluating proposals received in response to DE-SOL-0006736 for a follow-on contract and the NNSA expects to award a new contract for personnel security and facility clearance program support services in September 2015. The three-month extension will not increase the SSI?s current contract ceiling valued at $38,787,334.00. The applicable NAICS code is 541690 with a size standard of $15 million. This is a notice of intent to award a modification under the current contract and is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is forthcoming. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties must provide evidence of their capabilities to fulfill this requirement no later than June 30, 2015, 09:00 am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). NNSA will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any modification to the existing contact.
