- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia intends to procure on a sole source basis from Hamilton Sundstrand, Windsor Locks CT, engineering and technical services to explore, design, and develop solutions in order to resolve any problems with the Advanced Carbon Dioxide Removal Unit (ACRU), a new submarine atmosphere control technology. As the original equipment designer and manufacturer through contract N65540-11-C-0015, Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation is the only known firm with the specialized knowledge and technical expertise capable of furnishing the necessary services. The Government will not pay for any information received. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333415. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
