- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, Birmingham VAMC is conducting market research to help determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified vendors who can deliver radiopharmaceuticals to the BVAMC. Vendor must be able to start performance on October 1, 2015, base period of one year plus three option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 325412. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. THE SBA HASN'T ISSUED A WAIVER IN REGARDS TO THE "Nonmanufacturer Rule" FOR THE REQUIRED PRODUCTS. SAM: Interested parties should register in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. The SAM can be obtained by accessing the internet at www.sam.gov or by calling 1-866-606-8220. STATEMENT OF NEED: Generic and/or Cardiolite/Sestamibi dose(s) in syringes precalibrated: Flat rate unit doses (30-35 millicuries) of Generic Cardiolite and/or Cardiolite//Sestamibi (in syringes) pre-calibrated as of 12:00PM on the day of delivery and delivered during the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm Monday thru Friday (excluding Federal Holidays). ESTIMATED 1600 doses per year 18F- Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) and standards: Doses to be delivered in syringes, eight (8) to twenty (20) millicuries, plus a one-millicurie vial for use in calibration. ESTIMATED 375 doses per year 18F-Sodium Fluoride (18F-NaF): Radiopharmaceutical Doses of 18F Sodium Fluoride (18F-NaF) calibrated as requested in syringes (ranging from (1) one to (20) twenty millicuries. ESTIMATED 250 doses per year Contractor shall provide all labor, compounding, supervision and transportation necessary to provide daily deliveries to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Nuclear Medicine Service, 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, Alabama 35233 as requested/ordered by Nuclear Medicine personnel/physicians. Deliveries shall be made between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday (excluding Federal holidays). The Contractor shall provide daily deliveries as needed and/or requested by Nuclear Medicine personnel/physicians EMERGENCY DELIVERY: In case of an emergency, the Contractor will be required to make emergency deliveries within one (1) hour, excluding weekends and federal holidays as requested by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nuclear Medicine Service. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e. small/large), and DUNS Number. 2) Statement of Capability that demonstrates ability of providing the radiopharmaceuticals IAW the brief Statement of Work (SOW). List past contracts/orders in providing this type of service. Include examples of current and prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. This notice is to assist the BVAMC in determining sources only. This announcement is not a request for proposals or quotations. The Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation or submission of information in response to this announcement.
