Description
Provide and install hardware and software to update/upgrade the TMS within the BS-21 Simulator. Current configuration includes: a. MCS (WINDOWS Server 2000) b. ICS (WINDOWS XP PRO) c. VoIP Server (WINDOWS XP PRO) d. SSS (WINDOWS XP PRO) e. HHET Symbol MC70 Upgraded configuration will be accomplished by installation of: a. Commercial server software will be replaced with Microsoft Server 2012. b. Non-server systems will employ Microsoft Windows 8.1 or higher, and provide the capability of transitioning to Windows 10 once it is released. c. The MCS, VoIP, and SSS hardware replacements must be rack-mountable units, to conserve space. d. The ICS hardware replacement will be a mini-tower computer system. e. The originally delivered custom TMS software applications for each subsystem will be integrated for compatibility with the applicable new operating system, while maintaining its original functionality. f. Replace forty-five (45) Hand-Held Evaluation Tool (HHET) hardware and commercial software, to a configuration that will ensure vendor supportability for a minimum of five (5) years beyond procurement. The replacement HHET should retain current functionality, comply with current DoD Information Assurance and security regulations, be compatible with the recently updated BS- 21 WiFi/LAN system, and allow for minimal custom software modifications necessary to adapt to the new hardware. HHET battery life is an additional concern. Original equipment manufacturer is Kongsberg Globalsim, Inc.
