NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price, contract for delivery of home oxygen services. All services shall be provided either at the VA Medical Center, the veteran's residence, or in a nursing home where the veteran resides. Physical location which houses the service office, warehouse, dispatch of vehicles and other functions related to the performance of services must be within a fifty (50) mile radius of the Orlando VA Medical Center to facilitate inspections. Vendor: Respitec Medical-Care Inc. 401 Commerce Way Unit 101, Longwood, FL 32750 Performance Period: Jul 1, 2015 thru Sep 30, 2015 (3 mos) Authority: Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302-2 (Unusual and Compelling Urgency) NAICS: 532291/Size Standard: $32.5M Reason for Action: The requirement is necessary to allow time to for a competitive process without affecting or interrupting patient care. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
