- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for CAAF paving and lighting upgrades at Fort Campbell, KY. The surface of the runway, taxiways and ramps require repair. The repairs include milling 2 quote mark from the surface and replacing with 2 quote mark of asphaltic concrete. The runway lights are to be replaced and the new pavement striped per requirements. Phasing: The entire airfield project is requested in FY 2015. If that is not possible, the following phasing can be accomplished: Phase I (FY 2015): Repairs include the removal of 2 quote mark from the failed/failing surface of the runway and replace with 2 quote mark asphaltic concrete (274,632 SY). Replace runway lights and restripe. Phase II: Repair taxiways (214,947 SY) and ramps (401,902 SY) by milling 2 quote mark from the surface and replacing with 2 quote mark of asphaltic concrete. Phase III: Replace runway 18/36 and Destiny Ramp lights (75,000 LF). Contract duration is estimated at 300 days. The estimated cost range is $10-25 million. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email 30 June by 2:00PM Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project for single and aggregate limits. (3) Descriptions of Experience - Each project must include the name, title, project role, e-mail address, and telephone number of at least one reference. References may be used to verify project size, scope, dollar value, percentages and quality of performance. Example projects must be of similar size and scope. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Airfield Paving and Lighting replacement, and/or renovation. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Airfield pavement for commercial airfields that are classified by the FAA as primary airports or military airfields. Heliports will not qualify as experience. Construction of new taxiway edge lights, ground NAVIDS, and runway edge lights. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $10M-$15M d. Bonding Capabilities 1. Single Project 2. Aggregate Base on the definitions above, for each project submitted, include: a. Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. b. Scope of the project. Include confirmation the airfield is classified by the FAA as a primary airport or military airfield. c. Size of the project. d. The dollar value of the construction contract and whether it was design-bid-build or design-build. e. The type and percentage of the contract cost, excluding cost of materials, that was self-performed as physical vertical and horizontal construction by construction trade(s). f. Identify the number of subcontractors by construction trade utilized for each project. g. Documentation from the firm's bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. h. The portion and percentage of the project that was self-performed. A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
