- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, has a requirement for a qualified Contractor to provide design/build services for Medical/Dental Building19 Repairs at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon. Building 19 has foundation settlement and minor structural damage due to past seismic activity and the lack of proper storm water drainage. The affected area is limited to the northeast comer of the building. This requirement involves design and construction services for renovations and repairs to Building 19. The work includes structural masonry repairs to the exterior of the building, concrete slab repairs, foundation repairs, site grading, egress stair replacement and exterior door replacement. The estimated price range for the services to be performed is between $250,000 to $500,000. Interested Contractors are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the required services, and shall include the following information: 1. Provide examples of two or more foundation and structural repair projects to occupied buildings with a $250,000 to $500,000 constructed value completed by your design-build team within the last five years. Include the location of the project, the project owner, a brief and concise description of the project scope, the specialty design consultants employed, a comparison of the construction budget versus construction award value, and the final contract amount. 2. Project examples shall include the date of contract award, notice to proceed, the original date for contract completion, and the actual contract completion date for each project. 3. Using your previous project examples indicate the contract award amount, final contract value and the percent of change orders relative to the total construction value. 4. Include with your submission your EMR Safety Ratings for 2012, 2013 and 2014. Your statement of qualifications will be evaluated based on the following criteria, which is listed in order of importance. 1. Previous projects of similar scope and value 2. Project location 3. Cost control, project schedule, safety and quality of work This Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to issue a Request for Proposals or award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Entities responding to this Sources Sought Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. RESPONSES ARE DUE ON Tuesday July 7, 2015, BY 2:00 PM EDT, AND MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY VIA E-MAIL To: garnett.eileen@dol.gov (Eileen Garnett, Contracting Specialist). Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
