- Repair of Fielded M777A2 Howitzer and M119A3 Howitzer Inertial Navigation Systems Purpose: The Army Contracting Command (ACC) New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of the Joint Program Manager Office Towed Artillery Systems (JPMO-TAS) to identify potential sources for Repair of the M119A3 Inertial Navigation System and the M777A2 Inertial Navigation System. Description: This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of JPMO-TAS or RDECOM-ARDEC. The purpose of the Inertial Navigation Unit (INU) is to provide accurate targeting, position and navigation capability to the Howitzers. The NSN 13023681, INU Assembly and NSN 10059177, Encoder VMS is currently fielded on the M7777. NSN 13029385 INU Assembly and NSN 13029361 Encoder, VMS is currently fielded on the M119A2. The Government requires repair services to bring the currently fielded systems to Condition Code A. The INU is manufactured and repaired in accordance with the requirements in Spec PRF-INS-13022772 Rev B (M119A3 variant), & Spec 60220505_E10162 (M777A2 variant) and to Honeywell Part #s 13029361 (M119A3 Encoder, VMS), 13029385 (M119A3 INU Assembly), 13023681 (M777A2 INU Assembly), 10059177 (M777A2 Encoder, VMS). The INU technology is proprietary to Honeywell International Inc. Aerospace- Clearwater (Defense) and as such the INU technical data is not currently available. All interested vendors are requested to provide: 1.Statement of capability describing the vendor's capability to provide the repair services including lead times and the location where the work will be performed. 2.Rough Order Magnitude Cost to provide supplies/services. Based Upon: Diagnosing the three most common and frequently seen failures for the INU (M119A3 and M777A2). 3.Rough Order Magnitude scheduled to provide supplies/services. Submissions of designs that are not fully compliant with all requirements are also encouraged so that JPMO-TAS and RDECOM-ARDEC may assess the capabilities of all currently available sources. The Government recognizes that proprietary and/or classified data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted/proprietary and classified data and present them as an addendum to the nonrestricted/non-proprietary and unclassified information. As a result of this Sources Sought a Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued to acquire the INU Repairs. Participation in this Sources Sought is completely voluntary by the vendor and as such all costs to develop the vendor's response are to be borne by the participating vendor.
