Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTE The Department of Brain Trauma Neuroprotection and Neurorestoration (BTNN), Center for Military Psychiatry and Neuroscience in support of the Walter Reed Institute of Research (WRAIR), will be conducting studies investigating biomarkers in blood (serum or plasma), cerebral spinal fluid, and brain tissues following mild (concussive) traumatic brain injury (TBI) and penetrating ballistic-like brain injury models of neuronal injury. FACS methodology uses antibody binding to intact, live cells to measure any cell specific biomarker of TBI, sort the cells according to florescent labeling, and collect live sorted cells for later experiments.
