- Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to make contract award pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106, Soliciting Competition, Evaluation of Quotations or Offers, Award and Documentation, for the purposes of providing written consent and approval to sole source to Illumina, Inc. llumina is the only company that can provide an automated library prep system that is compatible with the BaseSpace software. The Government intends to acquire this commercial item using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 11:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Robert.J.Jones@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
