RELOCATION of a BUNKHOUSE and a VISITOR CENTER to the NEW ADMINISTRATIVE SITE This project includes the relocation of two modular buildings; a bunkhouse (building #1139), and a visitor center (building #1225). Two 40 ft. long "Conex" Containers and one 1,000 gallon Propane Tank will also be relocated. Both buildings and both containers are located in the old Middle Kyle Canyon Administration Site (Mount Charleston, Nevada). All items are to be relocated to the new Middle Kyle Canyon Administration Site located 3 miles east of the old site. The project also includes site preparation work including excavation and site grading, constructing new foundations for the buildings, and connection of designated utilities to each building. Connections of designated utilities will require installation of extensions to existing underground utilities (water, sewer, electrical, and telecommunications) or installation of new underground utility service lines (LPG). Some re-routing or replacement of existing building utility lines, such as the building sewer drain line under the bunkhouse, will also be required. Construction of 200 ft. of roadway ditch and a drivable waterbar is also a part of the work. Contractor shall supply all materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, labor, and any transportation permits for transporting the bunkhouse and visitor center, completing site preparation work, constructing building foundations for the structures, re-assembling the two buildings at the new location, and connecting utilities.. The bunkhouse building footprint is approx. 3700-square feet with dimensions of about 84-feet by 85-feet. It is a one story "L" shaped double wide premanufactured structure situated on wood stem walls and concrete footings. Concrete footings shall be provided for this building. Contractor will have the option of dis-assembling the wood foundation walls for the bunkhouse at its current site and re-assembling the wood foundation walls at the new site, or designing and submitting an alternative foundation system using permanent building materials. The visitor center building footprint is approx. 800-square feet with dimensions of about 20-feet by 40-feet. It is a one and one-half story double wide premanufactured structure situated on stacked brick footings. Concrete footings shall be designed for this building to rest on at the new admin site. PROJECT LOCATION This project is located on the Humboldt - Toiyabe National Forest within the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area administrative yard located within Mount Charleston, Nevada.
