- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service), CPHST (Center for Plant Health and Technology) Laboratory in Buzzards Bay, MA intends to issue a sole source contract award to AB Sciex, LLC located in Redwood City, CA for maintenance services on a AB Sciex CEQ 8000 genetic analysis system under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The service includes preventive maintenance labor and parts and all repair labor and parts covered in the service agreement. AB Sciex technicians are the only technicians authorized by the manufacturer to perform the necessary preventive maintenance on AB Sciex equipment, and only AB Sciex parts can be used on the instrument. The use of another company's parts or services risks the equipment's functionality and would void any warrantees in place on the equipment. This is a firm-fixed price completion contract with a base year, and 4 option years to renew, for a total estimated value of $62,045.55. This notice is for informational purposes only.
