- The anticipated effort will provide propulsion systems life-cycle management services, to be performed in support of CVN 68 Class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. These efforts include technical and engineering support, as well as support of maintenance, repair, testing, and modernization efforts. The contractor will provide a centralized management, control, and coordination facility for CVN 68 Class propulsion systems, provide a means to conduct engineering analyses, and provide resolution for problems identified from fleet sources. The anticipated effort will also allow the contractor to participate in key stakeholder activities to help identify, define and facilitate improvement of cross-organizational processes for the planning and execution of CVN 68 Class and CVN 78 Class aircraft carrier availabilities. These efforts will include participating in stakeholder Knowledge Sharing Networks (KSNs) established to continually review and improve the key business processes of aircraft carrier availabilities. KSNs include representatives from all process stakeholders, including the Type Commander, public and private shipyards, and appropriate Systems Commands, as well as Ship's Force. The requirement will be solicited to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607.
