- Description
- National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Langley Research Center (LaRC) plans to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Custodial Support Services. Previous information released regarding this procurement was posted under Sources Sought SS-CS-2015. The Custodial Support Services include but not limited to supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and management necessary to provide custodial services for all facilities at Langley Research Center. Custodial service applies to all designated spaces including, but not limited to rest rooms, locker rooms, offices, halls, shops, laboratories, warehouses, stairways, and elevators. Services also include cleanrooms, entrance ways, lobbies, wind tunnels, and other unique research facilities for NASA LaRC and NASA resources on the adjacent Langley Air Force Base (LAFB), located in Hampton, Virginia. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This Requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Competition among firms certified by the Small Business Administration as 8(a) Small Business. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561720 and $18M, respectively. All responsible sources may submit and offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about June 25, 2015, with offers due approximately 30 days later. A pre-bid conference will take place at NASA Langley Research Center on July 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. See NASA-Specific Note B. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the internet. These document will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The internet site, or URL, for the NASA Business Opportunities home page is http://procurement.na sa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=. It is suggested that prospective offerors attend the site visit and notify this office of their intent to submit and offer. Failure to attend the site visit or submit a notice of intent does not preclude offers from submitting a bid. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URL links below.
